Show off your driving skills with this remote-controlled, two-sided stunt vehicle. Use the controller to send it zipping and zooming around the floor. The opinions I express here are my own. This little guy will make even your wee ones experts at performing vehicular acrobatics. In addition to the regular forward and backward levers, there's a special "trick" button that makes performing your Trickster's specialty simple enough for even old fogies (like me). Tricksters come in 2 varieties: Buzzsaw and Rampage. The Buzzsaw's special trick is spinning. Press the trick button once to spin in one direction and again to spin in the opposite direction. The Rampage's special trick is flipping. Both cars can be made to do both tricks without using the "special" button. We received the Buzzsaw for review. Tonka XT Ricochet Tricksters are small and rechargeable. You just plug the car into the remote to recharge. The remote takes 4 AA batteries (not included). Tonka says charging takes about 20 minutes... It is a perfect stunt car for kids who have outgrown the younger rubber plastic remote cars (like the Tonka Bounceback Racer) but aren't quite ready for the bigger remote control cars. It is also perfectly priced at under $25. This car may be small (about 2 by 4 inches) but it definitely can go! You control it like a typical remote control car but anytime you want you push the trick button on the remote and this particualar model will start to spin (there is also a flip and jolt model.) You can also recharge the car by plugging it into the remote with the attached cord. The cord does have a tight fit back into the remote, but I have gotten the hang of smooshing it back in. The remote though does take five "AA" batteries that are not included. If the car flips it has a blue/orange design and drives with the controls in reverse.Overall, this car was a hit with my 3 and 4 year old boys. They are able to zoom it around... The Richochet Trickster is a remote controlled stunt vehicle. It does crazy tricks and has exciting driving. It has a "trick trigger" function that lets your child perform one of three unique signature pre-programmed stunts, depending on which model you get. There is the "Rampage Flip, the "Zig-Zag Jolt" and the "Buzzsaw Spin". The one I got does the "Buzzsaw Spin". They retail for about $24.99. The age recommendation on the package is 6+. The controller requires 5 AA batteries, and it needs to be charged for 20-30 minutes for 15-30 minutes of play time. To charge the car, you connect the car to the controller. There is no electricity involved which means you can take the car anywhere and charge it, which is a really nice feature. All three of my children, boy 9, girl 6 and boy 3 played with this toy.
