It's not like a typical RC car because when you run it into something (and let's be honest...that happens a lot!), it flips over and keeps going. My experience with RC toys hasn't been great because they were always difficult to steer and when they ran into the baseboards, they would leave black marks. We don't have that issue with this toy, and it's easier to drive than most RC cars we've had. The boys liked jumping it off things and played with it both inside and out on the porch. The remote requires five AA batteries that aren't included so be sure to stock up, and the car itself has a rechargable battery. There are three channels and you've got to make sure the number on the remote is set to whichever number you use on the car. My son and husband have had a lot of fun playing with the trickster. They love creating obstacles and making the trickster "trick" it way around, through, or over it. Even our cat enjoys playing with it, my son will do tricks up and down the hallway and the cat will try to catch it. They play this way until it needs to be recharged. The recharging is my only complaint and the reason I didn't give it five stars. The charge doesn't last very long but on the plus side it does recharge fairly quickly. It seems pretty sturdy considering all the things they have done with it. The package did say its not to be used outside so we haven't, although I think it would hold up okay on the driveway. I plan on buying a few more as gifts for my nephews and their fathers. Definitely fun for the whole family, I would recommend to anyone who wants to get something for their child that makes them get up and play. This is a great little toy, my 10 year old son and 12 year old daughter love it. It is fast and does a lot of tricks, they would play with it for hours, however the batter is a quick 15 minutes charged. The recharge is quick but the playtime goes fast too. I wish the battery life was longer. I would still rate this high for the "fun" factor! |
