I bougth this on sale for about $14. (Got 3)

CONS:
1. The main issue is ths RC is IR based and is quit poor. You have to basically be standing ontop the car with the remote Pointed directly at the car.
2. They are smaller than expected. There is a similar one I got from toyrus that was about twice the size for $20.
3. There is no forward / backward button for the car as a whole. There a a forward and backward for the left and right back wheel. So its TOUGH to just go forward and backwards. You have to push both buttons at the exact sametime... I can barely do it and the kids cant! By they dont seem to mind or care.
4. Does NOT use replaceable batteries. The battery is built in and is charged from the remote! This is a con because once the battery drains and does not hold a charge you are SOL.

PROS:
1. It actually is a fun little unit. The kids like it and dont mind chasing it around to get it to work.

I bought 3 different versions of these r/c cars for our 4, 6, and 8 year old nephews at Christmas. They were such a steal of a deal at under 10 bucks. I have no complaints about them at all and they are definitely well woth the price I paid. I wouldn't pay more than 10-15 bucks though..they are not worth more than that.

Our nephews loved them. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of controlling them, but the boys quickly caught on and had alot of fun. You have to make sure each vehicle is set to a different frequency if they are using them in the same area, otherwise they will control each other's car with their own remote.

The bodies are double sided hard plastic, so you can flip them over and look like you have a totally different vehicle. The wheels have durable rubber on them which is necessary for hard and/or slippery surfaces. The boys used them on hard wood floor with no issues.

PRO: Cheap, OK quality, fast

CON 1: Controls: The style of controlling each sides wheels (rather than one joystick for forward/backward and one for right/left) combined with the incredibly twitchy controls make this RC car almost impossible to control. I bought it for my nephew who hardly plays with it because all he can do is bounce it off the walls and furniture. I am 24 and grew up with RC cars and I can barely control it.
CON 2: Signal: The signal is also very poor. If you aren't pointing the controller at the car it wont always work. If the car goes under the stove or a chair it stops dead because the signal gets cut. The RC cars I grew up with would keep going even if they were in a room on the other side of the house blocked by a door.
